Cashless casinos will now pop up in Mississippi, Missouri and Louisiana Cashless Casino Gambling

In today’s digital age, we use cashless methods to make all sorts of payments. This includes paying for items in supermarkets, at gas stations, and online. Traditionally, gambling at casinos has required the use of coins, cash, chips, and tokens, but this is all set to change in three states after regulators approved and adopted cashless casino gambling.

The three states to adopt cashless gambling are Mississippi, Missouri, and Louisiana. Regulators gave approval for cashless gambling recently, and some believe that this will soon be adopted in other states and will become the norm. The company behind the tech for cashless gambling in these states is Acres Manufacturing Company, which is based in Las Vegas.

Noah Acres, the COO of the company, said:

We want to thank the regulators in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and in the six states that previously approved Foundation’s cashless gaming solution for their diligent review and approval of our innovative technology.

He added that the regulators in these states had taken an important first step that enabled operators within their states to take on a new and modern approach. Acres also added that this was something that will bring greater efficiency to casinos and more convenience for gamblers.

In the three states in which it has been adopted, the Acres cashless system is being used at 21 casinos and more than 30,000 slots.

Offering a Range of Benefits for Operators and Players

According to Acres, the adoption of this cashless system will provide multiple benefits for both operators and players.

For casinos, it means that there will not have to be huge amounts of cash onsite, and this can help to streamline various processes and aid efficiency. It could also have a positive impact on footfall, as it might attract customers who want to be able to play using cashless methods rather than having to carry cash around with them.

For players, the cashless system means that they no longer have to worry about security issues linked to carrying large sums of money. In addition, they can benefit from greater ease and convenience when it comes to funding their casino gambling, as nearly everyone already has a card in their wallet or purse to use. Acres believes that players will benefit from a far better overall experience as a result of cashless technology.

Following Other Hospitality Businesses

There are now many hospitality venues that operate cashless systems such as restaurants and bars, among others. This has become particularly prevalent since the global pandemic when many businesses stopped accepting cash for a while due to the increased risk of transmission.

This resulted in more people becoming comfortable with cashless technology and led to a lot of businesses either continuing to offer cashless payments only or offering both cashless and cash payment options.

By adopting cashless technology, casinos will be able to follow other hospitality businesses and provide customers with a modern 21st-century solution. Acres officials said that given the popularity of cashless solutions among consumers, it was time that it was fully adopted by the casino industry.
