On Thursday, the 5th of September, Evolution Gaming announced that it obtained a conditional Interactive Gaming Manufacturer license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). The gaming solutions provider has the distinction of being the first Live Casino provider to receive a license in the Keystone state.

Under the terms of the conditional license, Evolution now has the right to provide Live Casino services on behalf of the locally licensed gaming operators. Plus, the license also permits the organization to progress with its plans of constructing a live studio in the state. In addition to delivering services to online casinos, the studio will also service land-based gambling venues as well.

Live casino games involve live dealers and real-time feeds that create the experience of a real-world casino. It’s considered quite popular with players who gamble for high stakes using real money.

What Evolution has to say

Evolution’s Chief Business Development Officer, James Stern, who oversees the company’s America & land-based portfolio, said that the demand for their Live Casino services in the U.S. has been “phenomenal.”

He also added, “We are delighted to be further expanding our U.S. operations by opening a standalone studio in Pennsylvania to serve both online operators and land-based casinos in the state. We are looking forward to opening up our world-leading Live Casino portfolio to operators and players in the state of Pennsylvania.”

Evolution’s trajectory

Evolution is no stranger to success. Founded in 2006 as one of Europe’s first-ever provider of B2B Live Casino solutions, over its relatively short life span thus far the company has come leap and bounds.

After going public a few years ago, the live casino specialist has grown to become one of the leading players in the European market, providing services to about 150 gaming operators and land-based casinos across the continent. Evolution’s parent company is based in Sweden and is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange under the name EVO.

Over the past few years, the company’s shareholders have benefited from the company’s fantastic performance. The company is on a mission to maintain and strengthen its position as the world’s leading gaming solutions provider.

Plans for the US

Besides its achievement in Pennsylvania, Evolution was also the first Live Casino provider to acquire Preliminary Waiver Status in New Jersey and officially entered the state’s gambling arena in August 2018. This also happened to be the first time the gaming solutions provider opened its Live Casino studio on the U.S. soil.

To facilitate supporting its growth in New Jersey, the live casino operator recently announced plans to expand its Live Casino studio in Atlantic City to twice its current size. This move is expected to secure the company additional gaming licenses in the state that will help it enhance its current online environment by adding dedicated tables and creating richer experiences.

Evolution is looking to grow its games portfolio by adding award-winning crowd pleasers to its existing games line-up, which, in turn, will help it gain a wider maker share in the country.

With plans already in the pipeline for the construction of its new studio in Pennsylvania, Stern concluded by saying that Evolution aims to maximize the opportunities in the exciting new market and expects to increase its products and services in collaboration with its partners.
