One of the fastest-growing cardrooms today, Global Poker, has announced that it is launching the first-ever Global Poker Home Series on March 30. This is the biggest home game ever, with more than SC2 million in guarantees.

With many casinos across the globe shutting down due to the coronavirus, poker players everywhere are staying home, and this is the perfect opportunity to put their skills to test, without ever having to step out of their homes.

Poker players will be able to participate in the world’s biggest home game series, which promises huge guarantees, from the comfort of their home. Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, many states in the US, including Nevada, have ordered shutdowns where non-essential businesses, including casinos, hotels, and resorts, have been asked to close their doors to help prevent the spread of the deadly virus. There is no definite indication as to when the business can continue as usual.

People have been asked to stay at home and self-quarantine and go out only to buy essential items. Considering the situation, the series is likely to see high participation.

Plenty of events lined up for participants

The Global Poker Home Series has plenty of exciting events lined up for players. This includes 28 Home Series Sweeps Coins events, along with 28 Home Series Gold Coins events.

The weekly Sunday Scrimmage, which the cardroom hosts every Sunday, will now start at SC100,000 and rise to a staggering SC500,000 in the final, which will be held on April 26. To make the series even more attractive for poker players, Global Poker is also offering a range of bonuses, pop-up freerolls, and ticket drops.

Commenting on how excited the company is for the series, David Lyons, General Manager of Global Poker, said:

We’re all currently experiencing a higher-than-usual level of uncertainty, and to provide a welcome and rewarding distraction, we’re making sure we offer the best poker experience while everyone stays at home. It’s the best place to be at the moment, and we’re making sure of it for our poker players.

The site is already hyping-up players and is investing heavily in attracting new participants. Currently, Global Pokers is giving away SC1,000 for new players every week in a special Saturday freeroll, which is held at 15:00 EDT.

Even if you missed this week’s freeroll, you don’t have to worry because Global Poker has allowed players to apply their tokens to the freeroll scheduled for the following week.
