The fans of the very popular poker television show, High Stakes Poker, are pleasantly surprised with the news of its return. Poker Central made its announcement earlier this week and has said that the company has acquired both the brand and all of the assets of High Stakes Poker.
The show was first launched in the year 2006 and became an instant hit amongst poker lovers. Even those who did not play the game found themselves to be glued to their TV screens in fascination with how the show presented the world of Poker.
Many viewers were disheartened after the show got taken off the air after a good seven seasons. Now, these fans have much reason to rejoice, as they will have the opportunity to watch the show as and when they please.
Poker Central owns the subscription-based poker streaming service PokerGO and plans to begin streaming episodes of the show in 2020. As PokerGo is one of Poker Central’s most successful ventures to date, the availability of the popular show on the streaming service will make it easier for loyal fans to access it.
Although the initial launch of new episodes of the show will be on PokerGO, the company has plans for expansion in the future. The company has made several plans to create a framework and build partnerships to facilitate new episodes of the hit show to be readily available on other online platforms and perhaps, even TV channels. The easy accessibility of the show will make it all the more popular amongst masses who will be introduced to it through other streaming platforms.
