New Jersey DraftKings Casino
A record has been broken in New Jersey, where one lucky player has managed to scoop a jackpot worth an incredible $3.29 million. Even more amazingly, the prize was won by someone betting just $0.10 a spin on a slot.
This prize was won by a player at the DraftKings Casino playing the Ancient Fortunes: Zeus slot, a progressive jackpot. The $3.29 million is the most ever paid out by DraftKings – the previous record was the $1.97 million won in April by a player spinning the reels of the Extra Chilli Megaways game.
Ancient Fortunes: Zeus is a slot from Microgaming, a company based in the Isle of Man. It is one of many slots with a progressive jackpot, meaning that the top prize keeps rising as more and more people play the game. It then resets to a base level when the jackpot is won.
Amazingly, the record win wasn’t the end of players’ luck at DraftKings, as another giant jackpot was won at the casino less than 24 hours afterwards. This player won $1.44 million playing the 12 Western Horseshoes game for $0.10 a spin.
Jason March, the vice president of the iGaming marketing and operations unit at DraftKings, stated:
Crowning two millionaires in 24 hours was a monumental week for DraftKings Casino.
He then went on to state how proud he was that DraftKings gave players the chance to win huge progressive jackpots on over 100 games. The company has already paid out $13.49 million in progressive jackpot payments in New Jersey since launching in the state.
While impressive, the figures being won by DraftKings players fall way short of the world record online slot win, which is the $23.6 million won by a player in Belgium in 2021.
DraftKings has also been in the news recently for releasing a brand-new roulette game, called Auto American Live Roulette. This game is found in the live casino and is currently only available to customers in New Jersey. It is expected to be offered elsewhere soon – the company currently offers its online casino in four other states.
The game is an exciting one, similar to stadium roulette, which is played in many land-based casinos. Essentially, it is American roulette without the dealer, meaning that the wheel is spun automatically. There’s a back-up wheel in place, just in case the primary wheel malfunctions.
In even more news, DraftKings has now opened its new office in Las Vegas, located in the UnCommons complex. Over 1,000 workers will work in the 90,000 square foot office, meaning it’s the second largest DraftKings office in the country, after their office in Boston.
The new office has over 130 sports trading desks, as well as stadium-style seating and multimedia walls. What’s more, it has space for employees to be taught casino games in a casino training pit and dedicated rooms for mothers and children. There’s even a 500 square foot putting green within the office.
