Evolution Gaming has already established a strong foothold in New Jersey as a business-to-business enterprise providing live-dealer games to online casinos in the state. Presently, it is the only operator providing such gaming products in the billion-dollar online gambling market in the US.

Now, Evolution Gaming is pursuing yet another venture, but this time it’s in Atlantic City. The gaming operator has got the necessary permission from regulators in New Jersey to expand its online gambling studio in the state’s coastal city. The studio that Evolution Gaming seeks to expand is located at The Hard Rock AC, which is the first property in New Jersey to offer the operator’s gaming services. Other online casinos that offer games out of this venue are DraftKings Casino and Unibet.

What can be expected from the expansion?

A lot can be expected from the expansion of Evolution Gaming’s studio. The plan will entail a 70% increase in its total floor space, stretching it to 5,386-square feet in dimension. Also, the gaming operator seeks to add 26 new tables to the current setting. Twenty-four out of these 26 tables will be blackjack tables, and two will feature new games.

When it comes to live-dealer studios (like the one proposed by Evolution Gaming in Atlantic City), blackjack seems to grab all the attention. However, the catch lies in the fact that physical decks will allow only a fixed number of players to play at each table. Typically, a team of seven can play at each time in a regular land-based casino.

A little about Evolution Gaming

Evolution Gaming may have a very short history in the US market, but they have been undertaking aggressive expansion plans. In June 2019, the gaming operator won the Service Provider of the Year Award at the American Gambling Awards. In September 2019, they obtained a license to start a second US live-dealer studio in Pennsylvania. And finally, in October 2019, they signed critical strategic deals with Flutter and Scientific Games.

So far, Evolution Gaming’s New Jersey live-dealer studio offers only blackjack, roulette, and three-card poker. However, the company indicated that it seeks to add features, such as unique sets, special effects, and even augmented reality to its live-dealer online gaming to give players more of what they would experience in a physical casino.

What about Side Bet City?

Evolution Gaming’s first such venture in the US market will be Side Bet City. This is one of the two new games that are a part of the New Jersey live-dealer studio expansion. Also, the game is listed among those that will be available from the studio in Pennsylvania once that goes live.

Side Bet City may seem like just another casino poker game, but it is purely unique to Evolution Gaming. The game is based on 3-5-7 Poker, which is a table game occasionally found at casinos in the US and other countries. The digital version has modified pay tables and betting options. From the perspective of player experience, however, the game’s most distinguishing traits are its visual sentimentality and retro-themed set and costumes that are meant to recreate the mid-1980s Las Vegas.
