The organizers of the world-famous World Series of Poker have recently revealed the new event schedule for 2022. The event has enjoyed 17 years at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino just off the Las Vegas Strip but will be heading to Bally’s, which is soon to be changed to the Horseshoe Casino, and Paris Las Vegas in 2022.

WSOP is now in its 53rd year, and it has enjoyed huge success over the decades. The 2022 event is set to begin in May with events in Las Vegas taking place between the end of May and July 20th, 2022.

The event for this year will provide more capacity than previously because of the new spaces that are being used, and there will be plenty for poker fans and players to look forward to.

Some of the Details

According to the organizers of WSOP, both Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas will be utilized for the 2022 tournament. The main cage is set to be situated in the Paris, but the TV set staging will be at the Bally’s Event Center.

As a result of using both of these venues, there will be more than 150,000 square feet of event space to help boost capacity, and there will be 600 poker tables. A range of events will be taking place, and poker players will be able to buy in for anything from $400 to $250,000.

Guests will also be able to enjoy easy access to the event, as the two Las Vegas Strip hotels being used have a shared parking facility because they are connected.

The executive director of WSOP, Ty Stewart, said:

This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we’ve ever had. We’re ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally’s, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris.

He added that there was a packed schedule in place and that players would be able to enjoy a variety of exciting events. Stewart also said that this was likely to be the biggest WSOP event to date.

One of the events that is scheduled is the Housewarming, and this is set to take place during the opening weekend. There will be $500 buy-ins for players, and a huge prize pool of a guaranteed $5 million.

There will also be the Main Event to look forward to, and this comes with $10,000 buy-ins. There were more than 6,500 entries for this event last year, and many believe that there will be at least as many this year, if not more. This event is scheduled to take place during the July 4th holiday with the final held in mid-July.

Covid Guidelines

Of course, there will still be an emphasis on safety, with all attendees being asked to observe CDC guidelines in relation to COVID-19 protection. However, organizers said that this year there will not be any vaccination requirement in place. They are, however, asking players to register online or via mobile to compete in events.
