Big Plans for Anniversary Celebrations

Officials at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City have announced that the property is gearing up to celebrate its 5th anniversary this year.

There will be a variety of events and promotions put into place for the special milestone, and these will run from the last week in May until the first week in September. Bill Callahan, the general manager of Ocean, said that the celebrations would comprise exciting events from the casino and its partners.

In a recent statement, Callahan said:

As we commemorate Ocean’s 5th Birthday, we are thrilled to present our customers with a packed calendar of events, promotions, local partnerships, and entertainment throughout the entire season.

According to the details released so far, there will be around $5 million in prizes and gifts being given away during the celebrations.

A Range of Exciting Festivities Planned

Ocean has a range of exciting activities planned as part of the celebrations, which will span several months in total. The official birthday party will take place on June 28th, but there will be festivities for several weeks beforehand as well as throughout the rest of the summer.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, the casinos will be offering huge daily prizes of $100,000 with sweepstakes.

There will be a new pop-up bar put up for the actual anniversary in June, and this will then remain in situ over the course of the summer. In addition, there will be everything from drone shows to firework displays put on as part of the celebrations.

The casino has some exciting entertainment and acts lined up for the event as well, so those attending will be able to look forward to some fun and excitement. This includes top DJs, musical acts, and more, with performances set to take place at the HQ2 Nightclub and Beachclub as well as the Ovation Hall.

The host of giveaways, promos, and entertainment means that those who visit the casino resort throughout the 3-month celebration can expect plenty of thrills and excitement. It will undoubtedly draw in more visitors, which will also benefit the casino.

Five Years of Operating in Atlantic City

The Ocean Casino and Resort finally opened its doors in June 2018. This came after a range of issues relating to the purchase and renovation of the property, which was previously Revel Casino Hotel.

In 2014, after just two years of being open, Revel closed along with a number of other Atlantic City casinos. Following the closure, there were various attempts to purchase and renovate the property, but they failed.

Eventually, the property was purchased by a developer, and it was first earmarked to be rebranded as ‘Ten’. Following the failure of this project, the property was sold on once again in January 2018 for the development of the Ocean casino. This opened just six months after the purchase of the property.

Today, Ocean enjoys being part of the cluster of successful casinos in Atlantic City, although it is classed as one of the minor players in terms of revenue.
