Rising Online Casino Revenue

Recently released figures have shown that New Jersey continues to enjoy high levels of success with online casino gaming. The data shows that revenue on online casino gaming in the state has been rising and has now passed the revenue earned from land-based casinos.

This comes after the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released gaming revenue reports recently, with the figures showing that New Jersey has passed the $6 billion mark in revenue and has raised more than $1 billion in taxes with online casino gaming since 2013.

Online gaming started in the state in November 2013, and the rise in online casino gaming since that time has been impressive. There are now more platforms and games available than ever, and this – coupled with the lockdown during Covid when casinos were closed – has helped to catapult the popularity of online gaming in the state.

In a recent press release, the DGE gave more information about the figures for April when it came to legal online casinos in New Jersey. This stated:

For the month of April 2023, Internet Gaming Win reported by casinos and their partners was $158.9 million, reflecting growth of 16.1% compared to $136.9 million for the prior period. For the year-to-date period, Internet Gaming Win reported by casinos and their partners was $620.1 million…

The release went on to state that this figure reflected growth of 13.7 percent when compared to the $545.4 million for the previous year-to-date period.

The good news is that the state is looking forward to ongoing success when it comes to online casino gaming, as the popularity of this method of gaming continues to increase. Gamblers now have more choices than ever when it comes to online casinos, and they can also choose from a wide range of games.
