Suncoast Hotel & Casino
In a recent announcement, Boyd Gaming has unveiled ambitious plans for a multi-year renovation of the Suncoast Hotel & Casino. The facility is situated in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, and this will be the first major upgrade to the establishment since it opened back in 2020.
The renovation project is set for completion by 2026, and it aims to provide the Suncoast Casino with a lighter and brighter ambiance to fit in with the preferences of gamblers. Officials believe that the enhancements will help to improve Suncoast’s appeal and competitiveness in the thriving Las Vegas casino industry.
According to reports, the transformation has already begun to take shape. Last year saw the relocation of the high-limit room. This made way for the introduction of Willy B’s Steakhouse, which is a new dining option for visitors to the facility. These are said to be just the initial steps in a comprehensive overhaul that will see many improvements being made to the property.
Steve Schutte, Boyd Gaming’s executive vice president of operations, said:
We want to make sure that our properties remain relevant and fresh, and there’s always something new in the market. Customer preferences and desires change over time, and we need to make sure that our properties adjust to that and change with the needs of our customers.
A key part of the renovation plans involves changes to the casino floor and the second-floor bingo area.
The casino plans to introduce a range of revamped gaming spaces, which will be complemented by new bars and expanded meeting facilities. The relocation of the race and sports book to a state-of-the-art facility will provide an immersive viewing experience for sports fans, with plush lounge seating and high-resolution LED screens.
The relocation of the sportsbook will result in the transformation of the current theater space, as it will be turned into a vibrant hub for bingo enthusiasts. By relocating the bingo hall to the main casino floor, Suncoast aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for players, while also doubling the available space for meetings and events.
A highlight of the renovation is the creation of a stunning center bar, which will become the focal point of the casino floor. Spanning nearly 100,000 square feet, this modern space will feature seating for 70 guests and will boast a bespoke chandelier, adding to the venue’s aesthetic appeal and sophistication.
In addition to the gaming floor improvements, guests can expect to see a revamped front desk designed to enhance the overall guest experience. Plans are also underway to repurpose the space formerly occupied by the buffet and sports bar, with the intention of introducing an exciting food hall. This is in line with similar ventures at Boyd Gaming’s other properties.
While specific details regarding additional upgrades have yet to be revealed, Boyd Gaming officials have indicated that the renovations will result in a hugely improved property. This will mean more entertainment options and facilities for guests who visit the property.
