The release lasted for months, and over time it becomes more and more likely that several bracelets will go online this year during Michigan.

A lot has evolved in the poker world this year, yet often, the most exciting story is about something that didn’t occur. The World Series of Poker in Michigan has expected to kick off most of the year, but it still hasn’t happened.

On the other hand, it has been a fantastic year for 888poker and the World Series of Poker as the association created a new poker room in Pennsylvania; they are proud of the latest Poker 8 program.

The WSOP itself has witnessed a wide variety of online bracelets across the United States and dotcom jurisdictions and the critically acclaimed comeback of a live festival that is currently getting a lot of attention and making a buzz every day.

Over the past two weeks, 888 Holdings has started a new bookmaker in Colorado to provide online gambling.

The start of the WSOP in Michigan, which had been offered for several months, has not yet been successful.

A Month of Speculation

In February, Yaniv Sherman, SVP and head of 888 Holdings in the United States, told Pokerfuse that a licensing operation was in progress in MI, although he had voted in at the time. He will decide when it will launch.

However, the idea was obvious: The WSOP will kick off shortly thereafter, in Michigan and Pennsylvania at the beginning of 2021.

We’re looking to roll out WSOP in Pennsylvania, and we hope that Michigan would follow suit. If not concurrently, then soon after,

– he said in an interview.

The new funding came in June when the Justice Department refused to review the January Wire bill decision, leaving open the possibility of pooled liquidity; and creating Michigan’s launch better than ever. In July, Pokerfuse announced that 888 would be online this year in 3 new states and it seems like Michigan will be one of them.

In early September, 888 chief executive officer Itai Pazner was still positively forecasting that the WSOP Michigan launch would take place in the coming weeks as the WSOP Pennsylvania occurred only a few weeks after the Pokerfuse’s announcement.

The Future is Still Uncertain

The delay cause is still unclear: unexpected technical problems may arise, or it may be necessary to work out legal details before overall liquidity becomes possible.

The recovery in online income from coronavirus is long overdue, and while the Pennsylvania launch went more or less as planned, Pennsylvania’s initial periods may not have been major disruptions. The operator predicted – competitions have still overlaid. Gambling has practically no effect on PokerStars’ supremacy in the market.

Whatever the cause, a delayed start seems inconvenient for bookmakers.

The WSOP Live is just four weeks away. Exactly 11 companion online tournaments for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada are participating in this program while almost half of them are done, and 6 more are yet to come.
