Gamblers Playing Blackjack in a Casino North Carolina Casino

It was recently revealed that exciting developments are underway at the Catawba Two Kings Casino in North Carolina. The changes will provide patrons with an enriched gaming experience with the introduction of live table games. The temporary facility has gained popularity, but the introduction of live table games will further boost visitor numbers.

Scheduled to be introduced by June, the expansion will feature 12 live dealer gaming tables, enhancing the current array of entertainment options. This includes 1,000 slot machines, electronic table games, a popular retail sportsbook, and a restaurant.

Among the new additions, players will be able to look forward to classics like craps, roulette, mini-baccarat, blackjack, Mississippi stud poker, and three-card poker. To ensure a seamless experience, the casino will also introduce new prefabricated modular structures, all operated by the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority.

Creating More Employment Opportunities

The ambitious upgrade project got underway in February and is set for completion by summer, with the exact launch date for the table games yet to be announced. The introduction of live dealer table games will create new employment opportunities in the area, and a free dealer school is set to open its doors on March 25 in Kings Mountain to help source local talent.

Running until June 14, the dealer school will be followed by recruitment fairs across the region, supported by Delaware North, which is a leading hospitality and entertainment company. According to reports, the casino aims to hire an additional 120 employees on top of the existing 280.

Kathy George, a President of the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority, said:

While we want to attract experienced dealers to our team and are offering bonuses and relocation packages for those who qualify and are hired, it’s also a top objective to add local residents who may be new to gaming but are seeking a good-paying job.

She added that the free dealer school would help to prepare people for exciting new careers in the casino industry and would also help to provide them with the skills needed to succeed in the industry.

In addition to creating new employment opportunities for locals in the area, the introduction of table games is also likely to attract more people to the casino. This could mean good news not only for the casino itself but also for other local businesses that stand to benefit from increased visitor numbers.

The Permanent Casino Facility

As the temporary casino undergoes its transformation, attention has also turned to the permanent casino resort. Although details regarding the timeline have not been disclosed, reports indicate it will be situated adjacent to the temporary facility.

Recent developments include the acquisition of 9.4 acres of land neighboring the temporary property from Kings Mountain Land Development Partners, LLC. This $40 million transaction was finalized in February and approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission.

In the meantime, to prepare for the launch of live dealer tables, the Catawba Nation is investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure and training programs to ensure seamless operations and top-notch service.
